AXA Retirement Scope survey is a global study conducted across 26 countries worldwide involving some 18,000 respondents from two groups – 1) working group aged 25 and above and 2) retirees aged between 45 and above. The survey explores workers expectations and retirees experiences, opinion, feelings, behaviours as well as financial issues towards retirement. You will discover below the specific results for each participating country, as well as an analysis of global trends.
 

AXA RETIREMENT SCOPE 2010

 
Working Malaysians planning for retirement has fallen,
from 48% in 2007 to 38% in 2010.
Most only started to prepare for retirement at age
39.

Only 37% of the working Malaysian consider their
future income will be sufficient vs 62% in 2007.

About 55% of the working Malaysian said having children
is the main triggers to start saving for retirement.
